100% CARDED COTTON
Carded cotton is a type of yarn obtained through the carding process. In this process, the cotton fibers are passed through combs that align the fibers and remove impurities. Carded cotton produces a lighter and less uniform yarn than combed cotton.
100% COMBED COTTON
Combed cotton is a type of yarn that is produced after going through a combing process. During this process, short fibers and impurities are removed, leaving only the longer, stronger fibers. The result is a softer, stronger, high quality yarn.
HOW DO WE MANUFACTURE COTTON YARN?
Preparation
We subject the fibers to a cleaning and ginning process to eliminate impurities.
Carding
The fibers pass through rollers and are aligned and separated, forming a carded cotton ribbon.
Stretching
The tape is stretched and passed through machines to parallelize them, making them more uniform.
Rotor
The next step is the spinning process as such, by rotor or ring spinning.
Twisted
We subject the fibers to a cleaning and ginning process to eliminate impurities.
Winding
The yarns are wound onto spools or cones for use in the manufacture of textile products.
COTTON & POLYESTER 50/50 CARDED BLEND
In carded blended spinning, fibers of different types are blended after the individual fiber carding process. First, the fibers are carded separately, removing impurities and aligning them. The carded fiber ribbons are then combined and run through the carding process again, this time to blend the fibers of different types. The combination of both materials offers characteristics of both types of yarns, such as the softness and breathability of cotton and the strength of polyester.
COTTON & POLYESTER 50/50 COMBED BLEND
Similar to carded cotton and polyester, this yarn is produced by blending combed cotton and combed polyester fibers. The blend of these fibers provides a combination of softness, strength and quality.
In combed blended spinning, fibers of different types (e.g. cotton and polyester) are pre-mixed before going through the combing process. Combing is performed to align the fibers and remove impurities and shorter fibers, creating a softer, stronger and higher quality yarn. The result is a yarn in which the different fibers are more evenly distributed and blended.
CUSTOM BLENDS
We combine the properties and characteristics of different fibers in a single yarn, as they can combine the advantages of different materials, such as the softness and breathability of cotton with the strength and durability of polyester. The choice between a combed or carded blend will depend on the specific requirements and preferences of the final product.
We can create different mixes to suit your business needs, such as: 60/35, 80/20 and 90/20.
